Wind. It means the world to us.

Abercrombie Wind Farm is a proposed wind farm development project located 40km west of Hay in the South West Renewable Energy Zone (SW REZ).

Consisting of up to 348 turbines generating up to 2.5 GW of low-cost renewable energy, the project will create an estimated 500-600 jobs during construction and 30-40 long-term.

In 2021, Vestas - global leader in wind technology - started early investigations of wind potential in the Hay Area. A project company, Abercrombie Wind Farm Pty Ltd, was established to develop the wind farm project. This entity is wholly owned and funded by Vestas.
